Software that connects accounting work.

We build software connecting accounting records, finance-team workflows and reporting. The scope can be a new application, document and approval tooling, or integrations around the accounting platform already in use. We begin with the records and responsibilities the team needs to manage, then establish where software can improve the work.

Discuss your accounting workflow

Software around the finance workflow

Our experience includes accounting workflows. Intake, validation, approval and reporting tools can connect to the existing accounting platform as the book of record.

The General Ledger classifies entries; receivables link invoices and receipts; payables link supplier obligations and payments. Profit and Loss covers a period, while the Balance Sheet describes a date.

Compare the source with the proposed record

Retain the original document while resolving its account, currency, dates and reference. Repeated files and revised documents need different handling.

A proposed record can still need correction. Retain the validation rule and result, including versions needed to explain earlier processing.

Retained history

Received → prepared → review required
The record has not been approved or posted. A correction is retained against the source before an authorised approval can proceed.

Review, authorise, then confirm posting

  1. Received

Original document and source identity retained.

  2. Prepared and reviewed

Values checked against the source; corrections remain linked to it.

  3. Authorised approval

The agreed authority records its decision. Waiting work, delegation and escalation have operating owners.

  4. Posting confirmed

Resolve the destination outcome through its supported API or batch interface.

A source or account change after approval may require renewed review under policy. An approval date must not conceal a silently changed record.

Recover the handoff and reconcile evidence

Accounting integration

Pass approved records to the existing book of record through its supported API or batch interface. Export receipt and successful posting are different states.

Resolve rejected mappings and lost responses using source references and operation identity before sending another record. The destination’s interface and processing delay determine what can be confirmed and when.

Defined comparison

Agree records, dates, cut-off, rounding and included posting states. Work still in progress differs from a genuinely missing transaction.

Provide source documents, approved values and destination evidence for finance review, linked to technical correlation IDs. Authorised corrections retain their explanation and relationship to the original work.

Owned history and reporting

Keep source versions, edits, approvals and integration attempts distinct. Task-based access exposes relevant evidence; account structure, dates, dimensions, corrections and posting states explain differences between workflow and ledger views.

Finance agrees retention, exports, report definitions and treatment when mappings change. This software scope does not provide tax advice or statutory reporting.

Reviewed assistance and delivery

Extraction can propose fields from varied documents; validation, source inspection and approval still precede an authorised accounting action. Evaluate missing information, corrections and review effort on representative documents.

Begin with one intake-to-resolution process. Handover includes permissions, mappings, exception views and operating guidance, with authoritative records and recovery responsibilities clear.
